Suspect Wounded In Deputy-Involved Shooting In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com)  —   A shooting involving a deputy was reported Thursday in Santa Clarita.

The shooting took place around 7:50 p.m. on Nathan Hill at the corner of Shangri-La Drive in a residential neighborhood, reported Sky 9's Stu Mundel.

The suspect was allegedly wounded in the shooting. The suspect's condition is unknown.

It was also not revealed what led to the deputy-involved shooting or if the suspect was armed.

Mundel said the suspect was taken to a hospital "with bullet wounds."

He also reported no deputies were injured.

Why the suspect's vehicle was stopped was also not revealed.
