Deputies Search For Suspect In Connection With Montebello Homicide

MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Monday night were looking for a suspect in connection with a Montebello homicide.

Police were investigating a homicide that took place around 6:45 p.m. Monday on the 1600 block of Neil Armstrong Street. The murder weapon was an assault rifle, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

As police investigated, deputies searched the area for the suspect. No suspect description was immediately available.

Authorities also closed some streets near the crime scene as a safety precaution for residents until the suspect's  location is known. A line of cars waiting to park at their homes could be seen from Sky9.
