Deputies investigating 3-year-old girl's death in Lancaster

Authorities are investigating a 3-year-old girl's death in Lancaster. 

They were called to the 44700 block of Stanridge Avenue at around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday morning in regards to a "child not breathing," according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. 

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, but the girl was declared dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics. 

They have not yet revealed a cause of death for the child. 

"Homicide investigators routinely respond to death investigations when the cause of death is unknown," said LASD's statement.
