Demonstrators Protesting Conflict Between Israel And Palestine March In Westwood

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - More than a 1,000 protestors marching for Palestinian rights made their way to the 405 Freeway and the Westwood area Saturday prompting the Los Angeles Police Department to advise people to avoid the area.

California Highway Patrol responded to the situation and protestors immediately left the freeway, moving to Wilshire Boulevard and continuing toward the federal building.

The protest, which was organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, was one of many that were held around the world Saturday, as the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to escalate.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, no arrests were made.
