Naked Man Found Covered In Blood Suspected Of Murdering His Friend

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murdering his friend at a home in San Bernardino.

Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to a home located in the 1600 block of W. 26th Street after receiving report that a man was killing his friend, according to police.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered a deceased man in the backyard of the home. He was later identified as 39-year-old Thurston Alexander Watkins, of Studio City.

Watkins' cause of death remains under investigation.

A naked man who was found covered in blood was arrested at the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Marvin Ramirez of Covina.

A preliminary investigation revealed Ramirez and the victim were friends who visited the residence.

The motive for the incident remains under investigation.

CBS2's Jasmine Viel reported nearly 50 murders have occurred in San Bernardino so far this year.
