Man Found On Long Beach Street With Multiple Stab Wounds Dies At Hospital

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives Monday investigated the stabbing death of a man in Long Beach.

According to police, officers were sent around 2:40 a.m. to the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Pacific Avenue for a welfare check on an adult male.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a Hispanic man lying on the street suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital where he later died. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

A preliminary investigation revealed an argument occurred near an Arco Gas Station, which led to the deadly stabbing.

Police plan to review surveillance video from the gas station.

No suspect description was provided.

Pacific Coast Highway remained closed between Cedar and Pine until 6:30 a.m., CBS2's Mark Dunn reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
