Man Found Fatally Stabbed In Parking Lot Of Anaheim Strip Mall

ANAHEIM (CBSLA) — A man died early Monday after he was found stabbed in the parking lot of an Anaheim strip mall.

The man was found at about 1 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Lincoln Avenue, near OK 501, a karaoke bar. The bar was the only business in the strip mall open at the time, and the man may have been trying to find help, police said.

"It's possible it occurred somewhere else and he walked here and this just where he was ultimately discovered," Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

The entire strip mall has been cordoned off so police can collect evidence. Investigators are also hoping cameras on nearby businesses may have captured footage of what happened.

"We don't know if it was a random encounter, or if the suspect and the victim were acquaintances, it's too early to tell at this point," Wyatt said.

The man had been taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say they have no suspects in custody and they would like to speak to any witnesses who many have seen what happened.
