Gunman Sought In Connection With Deadly Shooting In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Officials Monday released the identity of a 19-year-old man who was fatally shot in San Bernardino.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Jose Enrique Ortiz, of San Bernardino, has been identified as the victim.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday, police received a 911 call from the 2000 block of D Street for report of a shooting that had just occurred.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a man lying in the middle of the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Witnesses in the area reported a dark colored vehicle was involved in the incident.

At this time, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
