Son Fatally Shot At Covina Home; Mother, Father Being Questioned

COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives investigated the shooting death of a man in Covina on Wednesday.

Just before 2:30 a.m., deputies were sent to the 19800 block of East Golden Bough Drive for report of a family disturbance, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

"When they arrived, they found that the homeowner had shot his live-in son who had forced himself into the home by shattering a large glass door," explained Lt. Steve Jauch.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

A preliminary investigation revealed there was a family dispute at the home between a father, mother and son.

The victim's father and mother are currently being questioned at the Walnut Sheriff's Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
