Deadly Crash Shuts Down 5 Freeway In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA) — A deadly crash shut down both sides of the 5 Freeway in Anaheim Monday night.

California Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 9 p.m. on the southbound side near Euclid.

According to reports, a woman was struck and killed after she left her vehicle and tried to run across the freeway.

The southbound lanes and two northbound lanes were opened just before 10 p.m. with all lanes open after midnight.

No arrests have been made, and the identity of the victim has not been released.
