Deadly Crash In Yorba Linda Spread Debris More Than Quarter Mile

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com)  —   Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the scene of a deadly two-vehicle crash in Yorba Linda Thursday night that stretched for nearly a quarter mile.

CBS 2's Stacey Butler says about a quarter mile of La Palma (from Via Lomas de Yorba East to Camino Bryant) was shut down while authorities investigate the cause of the crash.

At least one person was killed. The victim -- the driver of a black Scion -- was declared dead at the scene.

The Scion lost its engine and an axle in the accident.

The accident occurred just after 8 p.m.

Officials said the person driving the other vehicle was taken to a hospital and ordered to take a blood test. Officials were trying to determine if that driver might have been under the influence.
