Dead Whale Washes Up At Dockweiler Beach

PLAYA DEL REY (CBSLA.com) — Lifeguards spotted a large whale late Thursday night on Dockweiler Beach near Playa del Rey.

LA County lifeguards described the whale as 30 to 40 feet long, and appears to be a humpback about 20 years old.

No information is available yet about when or how the whale died.
