Custom Bikes Give Children With Disabilities Freedom To Ride

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  — L.A. Live turned into a mini Tour de France for a group of kids with disabilities Sunday when they were given their own custom bikes.

For many of the children it was the first time they've been able to ride a bike on their own.

Variety Childrens Charity gifted 75 of the bikes mostly with three wheels and customized with things like hand cranks and strapping pedals, depending on the child's disability.
