Crews To Close Northbound 405 Preceding 101 Freeway Through Sunday Morning

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com)— The northbound 405 Freeway preceding the 101 Freeway interchange will be closed late Saturday and slated to reopen early Sunday, according to Caltrans.

Northbound 405 traffic will be diverted to east and westbound lanes of the 101 Freeway. Drivers can also exit at Ventura Boulevard to quickly access Sepulveda and continue traveling north.

That stretch of the 405, among the Southland's busiest freeways, is being closed for bridge maintenance work. Crews will work on the ramp connecting the eastbound 101 to the northbound 405.

The closure was not expected to affect southbound traffic on the 405.

The northbound 405 was expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Sunday.
