Crews Tackle 2-Acre Brush Fire In Brentwood

BRENTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Crews are on the scene of a two-acre brush fire Thursday that has erupted in Rustic Canyon.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire broke out shortly before 11:00 p.m. in an area of heavy brush.

SKY2's Stu Mundel reported from overhead that firefighters have three helicopters dropping water on the flames.

Eighty percent humidity and low winds will help crews contain the fire with weather conditions in their favor, Mundel explained.

No evacuations have been reported in the area.

Crews are tackling the fire by ground and air efforts.
