2 Hikers Found After Getting Lost In Mountains North Of Altadena

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — Two 24-year-old hikers were found Thursday morning after going missing in the Eaton Canyon area of the San Gabriel Valley.

The two men became lost around 6:30 p.m.Wednesday after they had set out for a hike around noon from a nature center, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

One of the men called authorities to say they were lost in the canyon, but not injured. Crews roamed the mountains overnight and were aided by a helicopter at daybreak, officials said.

 

The men were located and rescued just before 8 a.m.

Both were uninjured.

Thursday's search was the third for missing hikers in the canyon in the past week.
