Crews Extinguish Slow-Moving Brush Fire In Brentwood Neighborhood

BRENTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Crews worked to extinguish a slow-moving brush fire Tuesday that erupted in a residential neighborhood in Brentwood.

Shortly after 4 a.m., firefighters were sent to North Oakmont Drive for report of a vegetation fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Upon their arrival, crews located flames burning between properties across a quarter of an acre.

At this time, the fire has been completely contained.

Firefighters are working to extinguish hot spots burning in the area.

One home was initially threatened, but it did not sustain damage, according to authorities.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
