Crews Get Quick Handle On 20-Acre Fire Near Mission Viejo Golf Club

MISSION VIEJO (CBSLA.com) — Fire crews Tuesday got a quick handle on a fire that burned 20 acres near the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo.

The blaze started for unknown reasons about 2:30 p.m. at 26772 Avery Parkway, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz.

At 4 p.m., 140 firefighters were on the scene and were working in tandem with three firefighting helicopters.

The fire briefly threatened some structures near the golf course, but no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
