Crews Battle Brush Fire Near Elizabeth Lake

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Fire crews Tuesday were battling a 70-acre brush fire in northwest Los Angeles County.

The fire was reported at around 12 p.m. in the 13200 block of Johnson Road in the Elizabeth Lake area, the LA County Fire Department said.

About 100 firefighters were at the scene, engaged in an "aggressive attack" from the ground and air, the fire department said.

The forward progress of the fire was stopped at around 2 p.m., the fire department said.

No structures were threatened, authorities said.
