Crews Douse Pair Of Small Fires In La Tuna Canyon Area

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters made quick work of two small brush fires Wednesday near the 210 Freeway in the the Sunland-Tujunga area.

The first fire was reported around 1:45 p.m in the 9300 block of La Tuna Canyon, according to an LAFD spokesperson.

It blackened about three acres before it was extinguished, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A vegetation fire in the nearby Hansen Dam Recreation area at 11770 Foothill Blvd. was also put out after it swallowed up about two-and-a-half acres.

Neither blaze resulted in any injuries or structural damage.
