Dogs Rescued In Commercial Strip Mall Fire In Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA) – Three dogs were rescued from a two-alarm fire which erupted at a commercial strip mall in Garden Grove Friday afternoon.

The blaze broke out before 12:20 p.m. in the 12800 block of Valley View Street.

More than 50 firefighters battled the blaze, the Orange County Fire Authority reports.

The fire damaged two businesses. Three dogs which were hiding under a desk were rescued. No one was injured.

The cause and circumstances of the fire were under investigation. It was brought under control a little after 2 p.m.

It's unclear exactly what type of businesses were housed in the building.
