Deputies: Suspects Ransack Torrance Home, Tie Up Residents Before Burglarizing Liquor Store

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's deputies Friday were investigating a home invasion robbery in Torrance believed to be connected to a burglary in Hawthorne.

The incident began just before 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 1000 block of West Park Circle Drive, officials said.

Three masked suspects reportedly broke in, tied up a man and a woman inside their laundry room at gunpoint and ransacked their home stealing money and jewelry.

Investigators say before leaving the residence, the suspects took the keys to a Hawthorne liquor store owned by the couple, went to the store and burglarized it.

The victims, who sustained minor injuries, managed to untie themselves and went to their neighbor's home to call 911.

No suspect description was released.
