Country Music Star Deana Carter Visits KCAL9 Ahead Of Headlining July 4th Celebration

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Country Music Star Deana Carter visited KCAL9 Saturday morning before her headlining performance at the 4th of July celebration at the CBS Studio Center.

The country music singer is currently promoting her new album, "Southern Way Of Life."

But Deana says despite her Tennessee roots, she feels right at home in Los Angeles as well.

"I'm born and raised in Nashville and I've been in L.A. 15 years now. It's wonderful," she said. "I've fallen in love with L.A. I love it too."

Deana performed a song she wrote about the city for Kenny Chesney, called "You And Tequila."

"Always point the finger at the other person," she laughed. "That's my rule in songwriting."
