Cosby Wants Settlement Money Back From Accuser After Deposition Released

PHILADELPHIA (CBSLA.com) — Lawyers for comedian Bill Cosby told a Philadelphia judge Thursday the release of his 2005 deposition broke the terms of his settlement with an accuser, according to news reports.

They want the attorney for Andrea Constand held responsible for the release of the deposition, where Cosby acknowledges he obtained Quaaludes to give to women before sex but maintains the sex was consensual.

A court reporting service hired by Constand says it believed a judge's order to unseal some motions in the case included the deposition. But the deposition had never been filed in court.

Constand and her attorney say they did nothing to release the deposition.

But Cosby's attorney's say they did nothing to stop it, either - and for that, they want Constand to return her settlement money.

Constand is one of more than two dozen women who've accused Cosby of sexual assault.
