Coroner: Man Found Dead, Wrapped In Plastic Was Shot

BURBANK (AP) — The coroner's office says a man found dead and wrapped in plastic in an open field near a Burbank lumber yard was shot to death.

Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Larry Dietz said Monday that Nshan Balyan died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The 30-year-old North Hollywood resident was found last Thursday. The body was wrapped almost completely in plastic, with just his feet exposed.

Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco says homicide detectives believe Balyan was shot somewhere else and dumped in the field.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the area.
