Coroner: Girl Found Unconscious On Magic Mountain Roller Coaster Died Of Natural Causes
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The L.A. County Coroner's Office confirms that a 10-year-old girl who died Monday days after being found unconscious on a Six Flags Magic Mountain roller coaster passed away from natural causes.
Jasmine Martinez was found Friday breathing but unconscious when a car on the "Revolution" ride returned to the loading dock.
The Revolution ride is described on the park's website as the first roller coaster to feature a full vertical loop. The attraction is made of steel, hits 55 mph and goes up a 113-foot hill.
When Martinez's death was first reported Monday, the theme park released the following statement: "Jasmine came into the ride station unconscious and was treated at the scene and airlifted immediately to an area hospital. Over 45 million guests have safely ridden Revolution since it opened in 1976."
