Corona Police Ask For Public's Help In Finding Child's Stolen Go-Karts

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — The Corona Police Department on Saturday was asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a Chevy pickup truck suspected of stealing a 32-foot trailer full of a child's go-karting gear last weekend.

The theft occurred Oct. 25, police said. The stolen gear belongs to 9-year-old Chance Gibson, a champion driver who has been racing since he was 4.

Police released a traffic camera photo showing a pickup truck pulling the trailer at E Sixth Street and Rimpau Avenue. The truck appeared to have collision damage on the driver's side.

The trailer's owner, Angela Dymand, posted on Facebook Saturday offering a $5,000 reward for the no-questions-asked return of the trailer.

The trailer contained two go-karts, three engines, two helmets, two racing suits and a toolbox, Dymand said. The trailer is missing the cover of its propane tanks, the police department said.
