Concern Grows For Missing 84-Year-Old Woman

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com)  — There's growing concern for an 84-year-old woman missing for almost two weeks.

Maria Cruz flew to Los Angeles International Airport from Guatemala on Sept. 29 and never met up with her niece in Woodland Hills.

Marta Alderete says her aunt thinks she came back to the United States to undergo back surgery. Airport officials confirm she did arrive at LAX and was in so much pain on the flight she was taken to the arrival curb in a wheelchair.

Where she went next is a mystery.

"Somebody took her in the wheelchair and put her in the street," Alderete said.

Alderete has been calling hospitals around city and the coroners office daily. She says her aunt has medical issues such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

If you have seen this woman please call the LAPD
