Cold Weather Alert To Go Into Effect Monday For Parts Of LA County

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A cold weather alert has been issued for parts of Los Angeles County in anticipation of low temperatures.

The alert for Woodland Hills and the Santa Clarita Valley was issued by the L.A. County Department of Public Health.

The alert begins Monday and will remain in effect through Wednesday.

The agency, meanwhile, said an alert will go into effect Tuesday through Wednesday for the San Gabriel Valley, while one for the Antelope Valley and the mountains of LA County has been extended through Friday.

"Wind chill temperatures are expected to be below 32 degrees Fahrenheit," the agency said in a news release.
