Coast Guard Rescues Man Who Had Seizure On Boat
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says a helicopter crew rescued a man who had a seizure on a diving boat near Southern California's Channel Islands.
Officials say the 80-foot vessel Horizon was near Santa Barbara Island when the medical emergency occurred about 9:25 a.m. Sunday.
A crew from the Coast Guard's Los Angeles-Long Beach station evacuated the 47-year-old man and flew him to the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, officials said.
