Clippers Stars Visit Lamar Odom In Las Vegas Hospital

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — After the Clippers landed in Los Angeles on Wednesday after their trip to China, Clippers players Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, and Blake Griffin boarded another plane to travel to Las Vegas.

The trio went to visit former Clipper Lamar Odom, who remains hospitalized after being found unconcious at a Brothel in Nevada earlier in the week.

"He probably has no idea we were there, but just to be there and to see him, hopefully he knows there's a lot of guys that love him and want to see him do better and want to see him get better," Griffin said on Saturday.

The visit reportedly took place on Thursday night.

Odom played with Griffin and Jordan on the Clippers 2013-2013 team.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said that the team discussed Odom's situation while they were in China.

"Its just a really sad thing. Lamar was here. He was one of the first calls I made when I got here, if you remember." Rivers said.

"We brought him in, and I basically told him, Get right and you have a job. Obviously, he couldn't get that part of it right," he added.

Chris Paul was especially affected by the news regarding Odom, issuing a message saying, "We love you, man. Keep fighting," on television after the team's preseason game in China on Wednesday.

According reports on Saturday, Odom is awake "speaking sentences" and avle to use his phone for text messages.
