Sunset Blvd. Reopens After Climate Change Demonstration
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — A busy intersection of Sunset Boulevard was re-opened Monday night after it was shut down during a demonstration conducted by climate change activists.
The busy roadway was closed at Cahuenga Blvd. as demonstrators gathered in support of socio-political movement Extinction Rebellion, snarling rush hour traffic.
LAPD was on the scene. According to police, Extinction Rebellion did not have a permit to protest but officers allowed it to continue and were able to move activists out of the street.
The intersection was re-opened to traffic shortly before 7 p.m.
No arrests were reported.
