City Water Official Arrested On Felony Charges

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — The Director of the West Basin Municipal Water District has been arrested, authorities said Thursday.

Ronald Craig Smith was taken into custody late Monday morning by Torrance police on unknown felony charges.

The 55-year-old is currently free on $100,000 bail.

Smith is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Aug. 12.
