Female CHP Officer Airlifted To Hospital After Being Struck In Malibu Hit-And-Run

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — A California Highway Patrol has been airlifted to a hospital after being struck in a hit-and-run in Malibu.
The crash happened on Topanga Canyon Boulevard just north of the Pacific Coast Highway Wednesday night as the female officer was conducting a collision investigation.
The suspected driver, described as an elderly man, was detained about seven miles near Topanga Canyon Boulevard and California Trail.
The officer sustained moderate injuries.
An investigation is underway.
