CHP In Pursuit Of Reckless Driver From Ventura County To Culver City

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com)  —  The CHP is chasing a reckless driver Friday evening, authorities said.

The suspect was originally wanted for driving recklessly, the CHP said.

The pursuit reportedly began in Ventura County. The suspect has been through the West Valley and Encino as well as south to Culver City.

The man is driving a black Isuzu Rodeo, officials said.

Stu Mundel, in Sky2, picked up the chase in Encino.

He said the suspect often was doing in excess of 100 mph on the 101 Freeway.

The suspect is moving on the southbound 405 weaving and bobbing in relatively heavy traffic.

He seems to have some damage to the rear driver's side tire but it is not affecting his speed.

"He's making some crazy lane changes," Mundel reported.

In the Mid-City area, the shirtless suspect stopped his vehicle after going through a gate.

The suspect was ordered to the ground and was taken into custody without further incident.
