Domestic Violence Suspect Taken Into Custody Following CHP Pursuit

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) —  The CHP chased a domestic violence suspect in and around the Antelope Valley Friday afternoon for more than an hour.

The suspect was driving an older model black Saturn.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said the suspect has encountered light traffic which was helping him evade authorities.

The suspect was the vehicle's sole occupant.

At 4:42 p.m., the suspect pulled off the 14 Freeway and made a U-turn on an on-ramp.

Mundel referred to the U-turn as reckless "and a bit crazy and I'm sure CHP didn't see that coming."

About 5:10, the suspect pulled over and just seemed to give up. He got out of the vehicle with hands on his head and walked backwards to face arrest.
