CHP Officer Fatally Shoots Suspect, Eastbound 60 Freeway In Monterey Park Closed

MONTEREY PARK (CBSLA) — An officer with the California Highway Patrol fatally shot a suspect Monday night on the Pomona Freeway, near West Markland Drive, in Monterey Park.

According to authorities, the shooting that happened shortly before 8:30 p.m.

It was not immediately known what led up to the shooting.

There was a hard closure on the eastbound side of the 60 Freeway.
