CHP Chases Traffic Violations Suspect From Azusa To Riverside

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  The CHP chased a traffic violations suspect from Azusa to Riverside on Friday evening, authorities said.

The driver was in a 2006 Acura registered out of San Diego.

The suspect was reportedly being chased for multiple traffic violations. The pursuit began just before 9:30 p.m., authorities sais.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said there were two people in the car, including the driver.

The suspect eluded law enforcement and led authorities on a chase that lasted more than 40 minutes.

The chase came to an end just before 10:30 p.m. on the 91 Freeway with the suspect ordered out of the vehicle.

Mundel believed the suspect ran out of gas.

The suspect got out of the car and "appeared wobbly," Mundel reported.

After police apprehended the driver, they cleared the vehicle which had no passengers, Mundel reported.
