Child Bitten By Snake While Attempting To Retrieve Kite In Perris

PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say an 8-year-old child is in moderate condition after being bitten by a snake while trying to retrieve a kite.

The incident in the 20400 block of Eldridge Drive was reported just after 4 p.m. Sunday, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

According to firefighters, the child was in moderate condition when being transported to a hospital.

The incident unfolded in an unincorporated area of Perris.
