Child Killed In 2-Vehicle Car Crash In Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities said a child, about 2, was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Huntington Beach.

Officials also said the child was in a car seat at the time of the accident.

The child reportedly suffered major trauma and was declared dead at a nearby hospital.

The accident occurred around 7:12 p.m. near Bushard Street and Yorktown Avenue, officials said.

Huntington Beach Police said one vehicle struck another and then spun into a pole.

Two other people were reportedly hurt in the crash.

Stu Mundel in Sky9 reported that the child's parents had minor to no injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
