'Chi-Pitty-Kitty' Adoption Event To Be Held At LA City Animal Shelters

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of cats and dogs will be made available for adoption this weekend at animal shelters across Los Angeles.

On Saturday and Sunday, adoption fees will be reduced by 50 percent at all L.A. city animal shelters as part of the "Chi-Pitty-Kitty" adoption event.

Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls, cats and kittens will be available for adoption at the event as they are the most euthanized animals within the shelters.

The event is being sponsored by Pet Care Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of homeless pets in the L.A. area.
