Certain Post Offices To Keep Late Hours For Last-Minute Tax Filers

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Today is tax day, and several U.S. Postal Service branches will be open late to help procrastinators – er, last-minute filers – get their returns in the mail before the deadline.

Two post offices will be collecting mail until midnight – at 7001 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles and 3101 W. Sunflower Ave., Santa Ana. The Los Angeles location will have retail service until 7 p.m., while the Santa Ana post office will be open for retail sales until 9 p.m.

The USPS Airport Station at 9029 Airport Blvd. in Los Angeles, and the Long Beach station at 2300 Redondo Blvd. will both collect mail until 10 p.m. Retail hours are until 6 p.m. at the Airport Station, and until 5 p.m. at the Long Beach station.

In Santa Clarita, the post office at 28201 Franklin Parkway will be open for retail sales until 6 p.m. and collect mail until 9 p.m.
