Cement Truck Driver, 55, Killed In Collision With Freight Train

CORONA (CBSLA.com)   — A cement truck driver was killed when a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train struck his vehicle in Corona, officials said Saturday.

The driver was identified as Michael Cole, 55, of Ontario.

Cole was heading south on Green River Road when he collided with the freight train near the Green River Golf Course at 12:35 p.m. Friday, the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office said.

The train was delayed for several hours as coroner's and sheriff's authorities investigated the accident, the Corona Fire Department said.
