CBS News: 'SNL' Veteran Jan Hooks Dead At 57

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — "Saturday Night Live" veteran Jan Hooks has died, CBS News reported.

The 57-year-old Hooks passed away at her home in New York on Thursday following a long battle with an undisclosed illness.

Hooks appeared on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1991 alongside co-stars Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, and Mike Myers.

Other television roles included her Emmy-nominated appearances on "3rd Rock from the Sun" as well as "Designing Women" and "30 Rock."

She also had a role in the 1992 blockbuster, "Batman Returns."
