Caught On Video: Office Creeper Stealing Wallets, Purses From Valley Offices

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police searched Wednesday for an "office creeper" caught on surveillance video going into San Fernando Valley offices and stealing unattended wallets and purses.

All the crimes took place at four businesses between Aug. 31 and Sept. 8. The man was captured on surveillance video during one of the burglaries, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

If questioned, the man casually asks about the business before saying he is in the wrong office.

The office creeper was described as possibly of Armenian descent, about 5 feet 6 and between 180 and 190 pounds. He has a balding head with graying hair on the sides, one tattoo in cursive lettering on his right forearm and another tattoo on his upper right arm. He has been seen wearing dark polo-type shirts and blue or black jeans. He also carried a black canvas laptop bag to hide stolen items.

Anyone with information about these burglaries can call theft detectives at the LAPD's Topanga Station at (818) 756-5871.
