Caught On Video: Man Robs Santa Ana Gas Station At Gunpoint

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Wednesday to find a man who robbed a Santa Ana gas station at gunpoint on Independence Day.

Surveillance video released by police shows the robber entering World Oil gas station, 1702 N. Broadway in Santa Ana, then pulling out his gun and pointing it at the store clerk and at a customer holding store merchandise, who raised his hands and got down on the floor.

Police say the robber demanded money from the cash register. After the clerk handed him some cash, the video shows the robber pushing the clerk aside to dig through the register himself.

The robber left the station on foot, hiding his face from a second customer who was about to enter the store.
