Caught On Video: Burglars Break Into Sherman Oaks Apartment

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Two men were caught on video breaking into a Sherman Oaks home, and police need help to identify them.

The burglary happened at a home in the 14300 block of Riverside Drive on Aug. 8 at about 11:45 a.m.

Video shows the men walking to the side of the complex and climbing into the patio area of the apartment. Police say they got into the apartment by prying open a sliding door, then took jewelry before fleeing on foot.

Both burglars are Hispanic men. The first suspect is between 20 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-7, 180 to 190 pounds and wore a baseball cap with the letters "LA," a gray shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes. The second suspect is between 30 and 35 years old, about between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9, and about 190 to 200 pounds. He wore a straw hat, white shirt, jean shorts and brown boots.
