Caught On Video: Burglars Break In To Fairfax-Area Restaurant For Checks, Cash

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Thursday in the search for two burglars who broke into a Fairfax district restaurant and stole about $1,200 in personal checks and cash from a register.

The theft happened at Della Terra, 7675 Beverly Blvd., about 1 a.m. on Dec. 20, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Surveillance video of the break-in released by the LAPD show two men, who appear to be 30 to 45 years old, prying open the rear door of the business and making their way into the restaurant's dining room, then forcing open a register.

Both suspects are black men, one between 30 to 40 years old, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-6, and about 190 pounds with a dark mustache, wearing a dark beanie, a light-colored jacket, dark shoes and dark gloves. The other was described as between 35 and 45, between 6 feet and 6-foot-2, also with a dark mustache, wearing a light-colored jacket, dark shoes and gloves, a light-colored beanie and light-colored pants.
