Caught On Camera: Team Of Burglars Break Into City Of Industry Energy Company

CITY OF INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities sought the public's help Wednesday in identifying a man believed to be part team of burglars who broke into a City of Industry energy company.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives say several suspects broke into an energy company in the 100 block of South Brea Canyon Road between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Several vehicle storage boxes were pried open and several tools were stolen, sheriff's officials said. The burglars also disabled the alarm system and spray-painted the lenses of surveillance cameras on the buildings, then entered the business, stole more tools and fled the location in a work truck.

The stolen truck was later recovered in Jurupa Valley. The total loss to the victim was approximately $45,000.

Help is needed to identify one of the suspects captured on the surveillance system during the break-in. He was described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with a distinct mustache with a break in the area just under his nose.

Anyone with information about the burglary can contact Detective Peraita at (626) 934-3019.
