Homeowner Watches As Firefighters Rescue Cat From Burning House

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA) -- A San Fernando Valley man looked on as firefighters tried to save his cat from a house fire in Woodland Hills.

LAFD responded to the fire on Alhama Drive at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Before firefighters arrived, the homeowner ran through the house in an attempt to rescue his cat, but was unable to do so.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire in about 20 minutes, and shortly after were able to rescue the cat and return him safely to his owner.
